The RITM-Tohoku Collaborating Research Center on Emerging and Reemerging Infectious Diseases celebrated its 10th Anniversary on February 20, 2018 at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Manila, Philippines.
As part of the celebration, a Research Forum was held at the RITM Auditorium,
which included plenary sessions and poster presentations of scientific
achievements that resulted from a decade of fruitful collaboration.
Discussions were held about the future direction of collaborative research during the forum.
●About 100 participants who have been contributing to the collaborative
researches attended the forum.
●Prof. Hitoshi Oshitani presented the achievements of researches during
the past decade.
●Prof. Keiko Nakayama, Vice Dean of Tohoku University Graduate School of
Medicine handed out certificates of acknowledgement to Dr. Remigio Olveda
(Former Director of RITM), Dr. Socorro Lupisan (Director of RITM) and Dr.
Veronica Tallo (RITM consultant).
